半年前的一次夜間巡邏，奪走了小隊的訊號手 YUII。半年後，她的姊姊 FREYA 發現自己駕駛的機體 AETHER-01 開始出現無法解釋的行為：0.4 秒的無指令迴避、深夜自己亮起的螢幕、一行像在等她回家的字。
